Consultation on life beyond the NDC

EC1 New Deal for Communities (NDC) is consulting with residents, local organisations and other stakeholders about how to protect our achievements and continue the momentum of positive change in the area after the NDC grant finishes in March 2011.

A questionnaire was sent to every household in the NDC area and several hundred others just outside. A more detailed consultation document was sent to local community groups, such as Tenant & Resident Associations (TRAs) and Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs). Also, a presentation was made to Islington Council’s South Area Committee to solicit the views of local councilors.

The deadline for returning the questionnaire and consultation document is Friday 12 September 2008. The consultation will help the NDC Partnership Board to decide which activities they should focus on sustaining beyond March 2011. A report with final recommendations will be presented to the NDC Board meeting on 29 September 2008 (a copy of the report will be available here from 22 September).
