Farewell to Andy Murphy
Andy Murphy at the launch of the new playground at Clerkenwell Parochial School. After three years at the helm of EC1 New Deal for Communities (NDC), Andy Murphy is standing down as Chief Executive.
During his time, Andy has overseen the opening of major public spaces such as Old Street's Promenade of Light and Spa Fields, the first EC1 Pride in our People awards and the expansion of the award-winning service EC1 Connect into the north of Islington.
He said:
"I will be very sad to leave EC1. The past three years have been the most rewarding of my 30-year working life, and it has been a real privilege to work in such a wonderful community.
Happily, I won’t be severing my links with the programme entirely. I will continue to be involved, in a personal capacity, with a small number of projects initiated by EC1 NDC."
Kirby Swales will take over as Chief Executive of EC1 NDC from Monday 29 June.
